MK 14
The United
States Navy Mark 14 Enhanced Battle Rifle (EBR) is an American selective
fire military designated marksman rifle chambered
for the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge. It is a variant of
the M14 battle rifle and was originally built for
use with units of the United States Special Operations Command,
such as the United States Navy SEALs, Delta Force, and task
specific ODA units.
The
EBRs are made with the intention of carrying out both designated
marksman and CQB roles in combat. Since 2010, theU.S. Army has
made available two M14EBR-RI rifles per infantry platoon for
units deploying to Afghanistan. The M14EBR-RI has a standard weight 22.0"
barrel and lugged GI flash hider; it is not to be confused with the Mark 14 Mod
0 or Mod 1.

M14 rifle, officially the United States Rifle, 7.62 mm, M14, is an American selective fire automatic rifle that fires7.62×51mm NATO (.308 Winchester) ammunition. It gradually replaced the M1 Garand in U.S. Army service by 1961 and in U.S. Marine Corps service by 1965. It was the standard issue infantry rifle for U.S. military personnel in the contiguous United States, Europe, and South Korea from 1959 until it was replaced by the M16 rifle in 1970.The M14 was used for U.S. Army, Coast Guard and Marine Corps basic and advanced individual training (AIT) from the mid-1960s to the early 1970s.
